NAVKIRAT SODHI

Navkirat has published two collections of poetry, titled ‘un’ and ‘If and I’. Themes of her poems travel from the lust for knowing and unlearning to the existential nature of love. Poetry has been her foremost instrument to interpret, express and liberate those very ideas from herself and vice versa. Her work has garnered attention for its fresh aesthetic and brevity.

She has read at international literary festivals in Chennai, Korea, Kerala, Hyderabad and various readings in Delhi.

Her work has appeared in magazines and journals like Condé Nast Traveller, Prairie Schooner, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Women Entrepreneur, Indian Literature, Muse India, The Canon’s Mouth and Equinox among others. She studied International Journalism at the University of Westminster, London and English Literature at the Delhi University.

Navkirat lives and works from her studio home in Delhi, collaborating through poetry with artists in fashion, music and film. She is also evolving as a self taught painter.
