A SUNDAY MORNING IN BANGKOK by Abhay K.

Mannequins standing in the metro
                with handsome wooden expressions
their gaze distant, lost in space
                        their eyes occasionally blinking
as they must
                lost into their gazettes
sound of speeding metro
                broken occasionally by recorded announcement–
‘please mind the gap between the train and the platform
pee pee pee pee, the next station is Sukhumbit.
